DESERT SOUTHWEST CLUSTER 2011 !!
December 2-5, 2011
Yuma Kennel Club and Imperial Valley Kennel Club
AKC All-Breed Conformation Shows,
Obedience/Rally Trials
Yuma County Fairgrounds, Yuma, AZ
We will be holding four days of American Kennel Club (AKC) dog shows starting Friday, December 2nd through Monday, December 5th. The shows will be at the Yuma County Fairgrounds. Parking and admission to the shows are free.
There will be approximately 1,000 dogs per day participating in these AKC shows. You will have the opportunity to see many different breeds, including some rare breeds, exhibiting the best attributes of their line. The shows will include conformation, obedience and rally judging. To see which breeds will participate and the time of their judging:
Judging begins at 8:00 AM, Arizona time and will continue throughout the day. Group judging (finalists of each breed by group) start at approximately 3:00 PM, followed by selection of the Best in Show. Each day is a new show, with the same timelines followed.
Don’t know a lot about dog shows? On Saturday and Sunday there will be Dog Show Tour at 9AM and 1PM, and a New Exhibitor Mentoring at 10:30 and 2:30. Just show up at the Superintendent’s table for either event.
Knight of Columbus 9378 will provide breakfast and lunch items from 7:00 AM throughout the day at a very reasonable price with really great food. Come out and enjoy a meal and support their organization.
We have a great selection of
vendors geared for canines and their owners. See a listing and more information on our vendors by clicking
here. You will find many items that are not typically available in town, and this is a wonderful opportunity to do your holiday shopping for your four-legged friends (and their owners).
Note: No dogs will be allowed on the show grounds that are not entered into the show.
